Service Description

Assistance, Emotional Support & Therapy Dog Training Building life-changing partnerships through positive, ethical training. Dogs can offer far more than companionship. With the right training, they can provide comfort, confidence and practical support to children and adults experiencing challenges such as Autism, ADHD, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, sensory differences, PTSD and social anxiety. Our specialist training programmes help develop calm, reliable dogs that support emotional wellbeing, independence and everyday life. Every programme is individually tailored to the needs of both the handler and their dog, using evidence-informed, force-free methods that build trust, confidence and lasting success. Training may include: * Calm behaviour at home and in public. * Emotional regulation and co-regulation. * Settling quietly in schools, workplaces and community settings. * Loose lead walking and polite manners. * Confidence around people, dogs and new environments. * Task-specific skills to meet individual needs. * Strengthening communication and the human–dog bond. Whether you are training an Emotional Support Dog, preparing a Therapy Dog, or developing the skills expected of an Assistance Dog, our focus is on creating a confident, dependable partnership that enhances quality of life. For many people, a well-trained dog can help reduce stress, encourage independence, provide reassurance during difficult moments and make everyday activities feel more manageable. Our approach recognises that every person and every dog is unique. Training progresses at a pace that suits both, creating achievable goals while always protecting the welfare of the dog. We never use fear, punishment or intimidation—only positive reinforcement and compassionate, ethical training. This is more than obedience training. It is about empowering people and dogs to work together, building confidence, resilience and meaningful connections that support wellbeing at home, in education, at work and within the community. *Please note: Emotional Support Dogs and Therapy Dogs do not have the same legal public access rights as Assistance Dogs. We provide role-specific training while helping handlers understand the legal and ethical responsibilities associated with each.*
